Engines
When purchasing an engine for your Legend Car or Bandolero, you can trust it has the highest quality components and greatest care. Each engine delivered to our engine shop from Yamaha and Briggs & Stratton receives a thorough inspection. After modifications to the engines, each engine has the option to be dynoed on our in-house dynamometer.
If you send your engine to U.S. Legend Cars for a rebuild, you also have the option to have your engine dynoed after the rebuild is completed. To place an order for a new engine or schedule a rebuild, please contact the USLCI Engine Shop Administrator:
Yamaha has been the official engine supplier for the Legend Car since 1993. The current model engine for the Legend Car is the MT09, and is in fact a 3-cylinder motorcycle engine. Following modifications by the U.S. Legend Cars Engine Shop, all engines are sealed and have 135 horsepower before installation in a new build or individually sold. A Legend Car utilizes a spooled rear gear and a six-speed transmission.

A lawn mower engine! That's right! A lawn mower engine is the muscle behind the Bandolero. Each Bandolero is equipped with a Briggs & Stratton Vanguard engine, and following modifications, engines produce 30 horsepower and reach speeds of 80 miles per hour.
